Twenty contestants, each producing six elaborate chocolate creations, in a three-day competition judged by 22 master-chef jury members. And ONE BIG THANK YOU to our many sponsors!
Salon du Chocolat Professionnel and Lenôtre will be the 2 platinium sponsors of this amazing competition.
Salon du Chocolat Professionnel will host the World Chocolate Masters, welcoming guests and international press. Cacao Barry and Callebaut Chefs are also contributing to the private workshops and demonstrations organised during the fair.
Lenôtre will be the top premium caterer for
the prestigious World Chocolate Masters Gala dinner which will take
place at the trendy Electric
Paris. They will also offer a fantastic dinner to the winner at
Le Pré Catelan, 3 stars Michelin restaurant in Paris
Bragard will supply the
distinctive tall chef’s hats, or toques, the symbol of top-level
gastronomy, and Jackets to be worn by the contestants, the jury
members and our Cacao Barry, Callebaut and Carma Chefs, each
embroidered with a representative flag of their country, their name
and title. The first, second and third place will have the chance
to receive a Grand Chef Bragard uniform.
Selmi, Italy’s leading chocolate machine manufacturer will provide their sophisticated automatic chocolate tempering machines for the contestants’ use in preparing their chocolate creations. Selmi will award a Continuous Tempering Machine-Plus Ex model to the winner of the World Chocolate Masters title.
For grinding and mixing their ingredients, contestants will use high-speed equipment supplied by Kitchen Aid. The first place winner will have the chance to receive Kitchen Aid equipment for a value of 5000€. The second and third will receive equipment for a value of 3000€ (2nd place) and 2000€ (3rd place
Prefamac, the leading Belgian chocolate machine manufacturer, will contribute in offering a Snipper flaking machine to the first place.
The elaborate moulds that the contestants will use to make their pralines will come from Chocolate World, with an opportunity for the winner to receive material with a value of 2000 €.
Champagne Duval Leroy will be the official Champagne
Sponsor and will provide its delicious champagne during the 3 days
of the competition, the inauguration cocktail and the gala dinner.
The winner will have the chance to receive a Jeroboam bottle of
champagne. Second and Third place will receive a Magnum each.
Robot Coupe, manufacturer of food preparation equipment, will award the winning candidates with Robot Coupe sophisticated food processor machines (Cutter Worthing and power mixer for the winner; Cutter Worthing for second and third)
ICC,
Spanish company specialised in cooking concepts and working with
the best of the best like Ferran Adrià or Joan Roca, will offer
Rowzer ice-cream maker to the winner of the World Chocolate
Masters
Pastaline, coming from Italy and manufacturing precision equipment for the confectionery industry for the past 20 years, will award first, second and third place with a Dragée machine.
Thermohauser, leading provider of baking equipment will offer a gift set to each of the 20 candidates.
The 3 winners will also receive The Alphabet of flavors box, created by Sosa Ingredients, the leading manufacturer of premium ingredients for gastronomy and pastry in Spain.
The contestants’ creations will be presented on beautiful plates specifically designed by Villeroy & Boch for the competition.
The ovens available at the competition will come from Salva, manufacturer of products and solutions for the bakery, confectionery and professional cuisine industry since 1943.
Munich, Spanish innovative shoes company, has joined the competition for the first time and has designed a new model specifically for Chefs called “Munich Gastronomica”. Munich will offer a pair of shoes to all contestants, Jury members and our Cacao Barry, Callebaut and Carma Chefs.
The Ecole de Boulangerie et de Pâtisserie Paris, Professional school for Bakery and Pastry, will host our overseas contestants a week before the competition for their preparation.
