World Chocolate Masters Final 2013

22.07.13

From 28th to 30th of October 2013, The World Chocolate Masters Final will be held at the Salon du Chocolat Professionnel in Paris-Porte de Versailles (Hall 4). 20 leading chocolate and pastry chefs from around the world will take part in the fifth edition of the World Chocolate Masters Final to compete for the coveted title of World Chocolate Master.

The World Chocolate Masters is the premium international competition devoted solely to the art of chocolate. Based on national selections, the competition is open to any of the world’s most talented chocolate craftsmen and women. During this 3 day-competition, 20 contestants will create a chocolate showpiece, a pastry, a chocolate dessert, a moulded and an enrobed praline and a surprising artistic Globe around the theme “The Architecture of Taste”. These creations will be judged by celebrity chefs and chocolate masters from around the world.

This year’s theme, “The Architecture of Taste”, is set to inspire the participants. Inspiration, creativity, design and innovation are all words that spring to mind when you think of architecture. Creating a chocolate cake, dessert and pralines must be approached in the same way as creating a national museum or skyscrapers. Patissiers, Chocolatiers and Chefs will have to express their architectural skills through taste. They will need to analyse and compose with flavours. They will need to study and design new shapes and textures. And most importantly, they will need to innovate and thrill.
